Dr. Shamsun Nahar Momotaz is an Assistant Professor with the Marketing Department. Prior to joining IUB, she worked as a full-time faculty member with Stamford University Bangladesh for more than fourteen years. She did her MPhil in marketing from University of Dhaka; MBA (major marketing) from IBA-JU and BBA from IBA-JU. Her PhD was in Marketing from University of Dhaka. Her principal research interest includes service quality, customer satisfaction, perceived value, consumer behavior, brand management and Digital marketing. She worked in a research project on “Effects of Price Differentials on the Trading Pattern of Fresh Flower in Bangladesh” under the Social Science Research Council, Ministry of Planning, Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh. She has presented papers in many international conferences namely 9th Global Business Research Conference (December 21-22, 2018, Kathmandu, Nepal), 15th Asian Business Research Conference (December 22-23, 2017, Dhaka Bangladesh) and 5th Asian Business Research Conference (December 24-25, 2011, Dhaka Bangladesh).
She published her works in academic journals such as Journal of Business Studies, University of Dhaka; Journal of Marketing, University of Dhaka; Jahangirnagar University Journal of Marketing; Daffodil International University Journal of Business and Economics; International Review of Business Research Papers; World Journal of Social Sciences and Stamford Journal of Business Studies. Dr. Shamsun received ‘Best paper award” at the 9th Global Business Research Conference and Outstanding Paper award at the 15th Asian Business Research Conference. Dr. Shamsun has experience of supervising research students at different under-graduate and graduate levels of Business administration. She participated in many National and International Conferences, Seminars, Training sessions and Workshops. She also coordinated many Workshops, Industrial Tours, Cultural Programs, Seminars, Certificate courses and Wall magazine. Dr. Shamsun was a Member of the Review Committee of Stamford Journal of Business Studies (ISSN 1817-1680).
